What is Waterlase Dentistry?

Dr. Rippe offers Waterlase Dentistry!

Waterlase by Biolase Technology uses laser energy and a spray of water to perform a wide range of dental procedures including: decay removal, cavity preparation, root canal therapy, smile design, and gum & bone sugical procedures - all without the heat, vibration, and pressure associated with the dental drill.

With Waterlase Dr. Rippe is able to perform many procedures with less anesthetic, and often no anesthetic at all!

Dr. Rippe is able to remove tooth enamel decay -the hardest substance in the body, bone and gum tissue precisely while leaving surrounding areas unaffected. This conserves and allows you to keep more of the healthy tooth structure. Additionally, using the Waterlase for gum procedures reduces bleeding, post-operative pain, swelling and the need for pain medication in many cases.

In the news: On March 25, 2009, the internationally syndicated TV show “The Doctors” featured a Waterlase Dentist prepare a pediatric cavity live on the show at CBS Paramount Studios in Hollywood.

Watch the 9 year old get his cavity fixed with no shot, no pain, no numb lip, and no drill before a live TV audience here:

Next time you're in our office ask Dr. Rippe if he can use the laser on your procedure!
